The IMEI query basically works for all cell phones and smartphones with the same key combination, a code consisting of asterisks (*), diamonds (#) and digits. To do this, enter the combination *#06# in the number field and confirm with the call key (handset symbol). Alternatively, open the settings of your smartphone and select the menu item „About phone“ at the very bottom and then „Status“. In the list, you will find the IMEI number among other important data. Often, the IMEI is also written on the outside of the product packaging sticker. It is also important to note that some devices have 2 IMEI’s and we usually use IMEI1.

What receipts are needed depends on the specific promotion and organizer. Mostly it is a proof of purchase like the invoice, for some promotions a delivery bill is enough. You can find the exact details in the terms and conditions of the promotion.

Your IMEI number is not eligible for the promotion. This can have many reasons. You may have already registered for the promotion, your location does not make you eligible, you are using a foreign IMEI, or you purchased your device from a non-participating retailer. Also, pay attention to the registration period, because the promotion may have already expired.
